Groundwork Lincolnshire is a green and economic development organisation.
We address environmental, economic and social issues through a combination of green, capacity building, community and neighbourhood development approaches with individuals, communities and businesses. Our activities have a strong emphasis on local partnership working with statutory agencies, businesses and voluntary/community organisations.
We assist communities throughout Lincolnshire to improve their local environment, tackle regeneration needs, and maximise opportunities arising from economic growth and green developments. This is achieved by working with communities on long term, sustainable, and locally appropriate solutions.
The organisation is an independent local charity, social enterprise and development trust. Our programmes and projects are funded from grants and fees. We undertake our work through a combination of service provision, networks activity, research and consultancy.
Whilst the Trust aims to contribute to 'sustainable local solutions' across the three sectors of the environment, community and the local economy, it seeks to focus its efforts on the Themes outlined below:
The Trust is part of the Groundwork Federation. This comprises around 50 local Groundwork Trusts and a national body, Groundwork UK. Each Trust is an independent charity, set up to serve local need and governed by a Board of Trustees drawn from the local community. Though all Trusts share the vision of the federation, there is much diversity in the focus of delivery and skill specialism amongst them.
